Controls Celebrates Ten Years
March,

March
1993: One U.S. postage stamp was 29 cents, mortgage rates
were 9%, and Superior Controls had just incorporated.
Back then, Mark LaRoche had no gray hair and Rick Pierro
had more hair and a moustache. These two anxious engineers
rented a small office in Kingston, NH, and with nothing
but strong convictions, knowledge, and experience, they
set about to grow a company. They knew they could design
and provide higher quality automation and information
systems for New England manufacturers. And so the Superior
Controls story began and growth continues.
Focusing
on the biopharma, chemical, and food & beverage industries,
Superior Controls succeeded by learning the manufacturing
nuances of each of these industries and by building a
strong reputation for quality.
In
fact, Superior Controls is now recognized as a leader
in implementing systems compliant with the FDA's requirements
for electronic records and signature (21CFR Part 11),
now required for the biopharma industry and soon to be
required by the food industry. In addition, Superior
Controls is recognized by the Control and Information
Systems Integrator Association as the only Level 1 registered
member in New England.
After
10 years, Superior Controls has become the largest independent
systems integrator in New England with the largest and
most experienced engineering staff. But it doesn't stop
here. Our current 5-year plan includes aggressive growth
targets with continued commitment to customer service
and innovative designs to solve complex automation and
information challenges. Stay tuned!
