Rick Pierro Elected ISPE's Boston Chapter President

Superior Controls President, Rick Pierro, has been elected President of International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE),
Boston Chapter. The Boston Chapter of ISPE, at 1200 members, is one of the world's largest and most active ISPE chapters.
Mr. Pierro has served on the Boston ISPE Board of Directors for the past 4 years as Chairman of Student Activities. In
this
capacity he spearheaded the formation of 6 ISPE Student Chapters, including the University of New Hampshire, Tufts University,
University of Massachusetts-Amherst, University of Massachusetts-Lowell, Northeastern University, and Worcester Polytechnic
Institute. During
this period he helped the chapter win two national awards for Student Development. Last year he also served as Chapter Vice
President.
Boston ISPE provides
technical information, seminars, professional networking opportunities, and plant tours for the
growing
Biotech and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers throughout the eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire areas. The chapter major event
this year will be the 16th Annual Product Show held at Gillette Stadium on October 17th, 2007 where 269 vendors will participate
and 6 education forums will be provided throughout the day. Over 2,000 Manufacturing and R&D engineers are expected to attend.
Other events include
monthly seminars and tours in the Boston area, a Halloween Social, a Holiday Social, the yearly ISPE Golf
